Enjoy my song while you read!
Do you remember when you were a little child you would spend hours finger painting or drawing or playing with your toys and imagining various scenarios, maybe you were a fireman, a nurse, a super-hero, a princess, whatever ….? Was that not the most delicious experience? It really didn’t matter whether you became those people or performed those roles in real life. You were in the moment, you were creating your colorful, adventurous world, with a few simple props.
Those of you reading this will agree that we create our own reality, and that our life is what we make it. This post is to simply remind you that the real joy is actually in the PROCESS of creating what we want. As an artist, I can appreciate my creations as finished products, with a life of their own, but for me, the creation was the most fun: The paints on the canvas, the visceral quality, textures, colors, smells of the paint… not knowing exactly how it’s going to evolve or turn out. Creating something from nothing. taking creative risks, trying new things. Being in the moment, molding and shaping the sculpture. Fine tuning it. Immersing myself in it.
Manifesting what we want in life is the same process. Whether you are aware of it or not, you’re using your imagination to create most of the time, but on an unconscious level….Worry and anxiety, focusing on worst scenarios, all have a hand in our life experience, and are the muddy paints on our canvas. And, as we move into the new energy, our manifesting skills are becoming more refined. Things can come more rapidly, more easily, if we allow them to….now, some people won’t like that because they are invested in the belief that it has to be hard to be worthwhile.
Like the painter or sculptor, or the child’s role playing, we get to choose how we want to feel. If we are intent on only the outcome, we’ll probably take actions that are uninspired to get what we want, and that will not work well. If we focus on the fun of it unfolding, the results will be much more satisfying. If you want more money, what feeling will having it give you? A sense of security, more freedom? Then focus on those feelings, create those feelings in your imagination. And focus on how you enjoy those feelings in your life right now. There are areas of your life in which you feel free and secure. And of course through the law of attraction, the physical manifestations of those feelings will be drawn to you. If you want a new home, what feeling do you get when you put yourself in it’s rooms? A feeling of expansiveness? Love? belonging? The feelings are what we are wanting anyway, aren’t they? So, getting to the feelings will get results more quickly. Another reason to focus more on the feeling of having what we want, is so that the universe can deliver it to us in more ways….it may not be exactly what we expected but it will satisfy us on a deep level. Say you want a new car. You focus on the money thinking that if you had more you could buy yourself a new vehicle. But if you just imagine being more mobile, feeling yourself traveling with ease, The car may come from an unexpected place. Maybe you’ll inherit one from a relative. You’ll win one in a raffle. In my case, I got my current car because my old unreliable one was damaged by another vehicle (I wasn’t present and no one was hurt), and the insurance money was just enough for my new car.
When an artist is painting, he will often remove areas and start fresh. so it is with our creating in our life. Sometimes we have blocks to having what we want, old beliefs that are in our way. We can remove them from our canvas. For example, a friend of mine was on disability insurance, and she felt discouraged because she could’t seem to have enough energy to do more things in her life like starting her own counseling business. But upon closer examination, she realized that she was afraid she would lose her disability insurance, her sense of security, if she got better.
Another example is a woman wants to leave an abusive relationship. She is excited by the possibilities of a new life, but she is also frightened of losing her security base. So she remains in the relationship. In my own life, I was wanting more emotional and financial independence. I was in a difficult relationship that provided me with financial support and a sense of belonging. But the relationship was eroding my joy…I reached a point where I found myself saying, no matter what it takes, I want to feel good…I want to feel free, independent, and soverign!
Shortly thereafter, he left. I was initially devastated, feeling lost and abandoned. (I had abandoned myself). But over time, I recognized that the change, as dramatic as it was, was part of the process of receiving what I wanted. Say you want better health, you are feeling sick and want so much to feel good. Shortly thereafter you may get very ill: having all kinds of symptoms. More than likely your body is purging the emotional and physical toxins built up over the years…. remember, illness begins as emotional resistance. But gradually this will lead to a healthier body.
We all came here to experience the physical realms…to learn how to manifest in physical form. how to shape and mold physical reality. We somehow forgot that the fun part was in the creation stage of our masterpieces. Then enjoying what we created is fun, too.
Until next time go well my friend!
