More women than men seem to be drawn to the new age arena. That is because women are well equipped with the tools essential to the awakening process.
Men as well as women have been drawn to women for their warm, loving, and compassionate nature. For centuries, women have been trained to be giving, nurturing, understanding, compliant, sweet, and concede to others’ needs before their own. They have taken on and processed the emotional burdens of humanity. But in these new times, women are needing to turn those qualities upon themselves. To be self-nurturing, and self-loving. To release once and for all our care taking roles. Our new-found soul connection is demanding that we take ourselves seriously in the self-love area! It’s almost like the next wave of women’s liberation!
Of course, there have been incredible strides because of women’s liberation: we have taken equal positions in the workplace, are on equal footing as men sexually, socially, and politically to a very large degree. Of course much still needs to be accomplished, but admittedly we have come a long way, baby!
I find it amazing that I was born a mere 30 years after women were given the right to vote here in the United States. I was brought up in an era where men were the breadwinners, and women the homemakers. Men focused on their careers, and women focused on the home, children, and their men. I remember feeling inferior to men in my life because of my upbringing, and because my voice wasn’t as loud or deep or commanding as a man’s voice. I also felt threatened by men because they appeared to be smarter in terms of what I now consider superficial knowledge. They also seemed to be more devoted to and focused on their careers and goals and I just did not feel that same intention in my life. I remember spending so much time and energy trying to please men, and wanting to be taken care of by them. It’s taken me a lifetime, but I am finally recognizing who I am outside of that self-imposed role I was playing. I am recognizing the gifts I have – that we all have, of being able to feel: of intuition, and empathy which are profound, and are what will bring the ascension, enlightenment, to the earth and the omniverse.
In the beginning stages of women’s liberation, women felt that they had to act like men in order to be taken seriously. They thought they had to be aggressive, push more, be more controlling, more competitive, especially in the workplace. And to a certain degree that’s still true today. However, we are learning that creating in the world comes from a vastly different tool box. We are awakening to the realization that intelligence isn’t just about how to put together an engine, how to read the stock market, how to solve a math equation ( which by the way it all comes down to interest in those areas, and allowing ourselves the confidence that we can learn it ).
We are beginning to understand that intelligence, especially the new consciousness intelligence, comes from an entirely different source. Intuition and divine knowing is that source. And who better equipped than women to tap into this intelligence? We have access to our intuition and our feelings, so much more easily than men, the very attributes that have been put down by society. But the fact remains that women’s feeling centers are more open. And these are what are required in the new consciousness. The Heart center. the feeling centers, are being opened wide in the new energy. That is why it has been so much more difficult for men because they have been shut down in those areas for so long.
I consider myself extremely intelligent, and again, I’m not talking about knowledge of world events, history, math, the makeup of the human body, facts and figures smart, or even book-smart. I am talking about an awareness, a spiritual confidence.
However I am also aware that if I spend too much time within the community, or with certain people, I tend to lose my confidence a bit because, (and this is mostly the men folk), people are very focused on achieving, goal-setting, and competitive thinking. (Women have become more so as well). So, I begin to lose confidence in what I am about. First of all, being lightworkers, our confidence level has been low because we have had few role models and the world doesn’t recognize us or our contributions for the most part.
Enjoy my song while reading the rest of the post:
Rise Up, Sister!
Women need to rise to their positions spiritually. To take their places in the new energy as teachers, whether that takes the form of writing, counseling, or expressing their truth in some way. Our roles are dramatically changing. Hiding behind a man or a job or a family or just hiding from ourselves in general is not satisfying in the new consciousness. The only thing missing is confidence, not the skill sets, not the information, and not the wisdom. This of course applies to both men and women, but women are naturally on the forefront of the Ascension movement because of their attributes and history. Many men are lost because they have been trained to shut down their heart and feeling centers. Our ability to feel, and to be empathic and intuitive trumps the intellect every time. The New Energy contains a balanced masculine and feminine meld. For this reason, the patriarchal, mental approach to life is not being sustained in the new consciousness.
I used to envy men because they seemed to take themselves more seriously, devoting their energies to their careers, their passions and their goals, and obtaining certain amounts of success in the physical world. Those successes can be measured. Our successes as lightworkers, not so much. Because of the outward directed, intellectual type of measurement, our contributions seem to go unnoticed. Our work has been expanding consciousness from the inside out. Consequently, our profound influence on art, music, science, technology, medicine, the media, politics, and other areas is not recognized so easily, so we are not always sure that anything is actually happening.
We as women are beginning to embody our divine masculine, and are coming to the forefront as the spiritual leaders and teachers, bringing humanity into the higher dimensions. But because we are doing it in quiet ways for the most part, and because there are no ticker tape parades in our honor for doing this work, we lack the confidence that many of our male counterparts possess. So do not ever underestimate what you are doing or who you are.
In order to do our work, we need to release our old roles as caretakers and nurturers for others, and let go of processing all the emotions for others, being there for others. That just won’t do. And we need to stop measuring our success by old patriarchal, mental standards. As lightworkers, both as men and women, we never fit into that paradigm anyway. I always envied that male energy for being able to bring concepts into the tangible world of form. I have done that in my life, but because it was mostly in the form of art, music and writing, it felt like it wasn’t as valid an accomplishment, because at least here in the states, those areas are the first to be cut in the school systems as ‘frivolous.’ I remember sitting in class (I was working toward my Master of Arts degree), and the professor said, “Now, before we proceed, just make sure you have a ‘back-up’ plan. What he meant was to make sure we had some ‘practical’ skills because getting jobs in the Arts was nebulous.
So yes, we have had profound obstacles as women, and light workers, and as creative artists, but, we are not victims. We are pioneers. We came in knowing it would be difficult, because we knew we would be doing something profound here, opening doors that have never been opened before. There’s a new way of creating. The feminine attributes of intuiting, allowing and of receiving are the new tools in the new consciousness. Early on we were taught to stop daydreaming, to get real. Yes, and we did. Oh we tried and tried to get real didn’t we? But the new consciousness is about using our feelings, which women are adept at, to imagine what we desire, and to allow it in. It’s not a mental process. So all the qualities we were told were not valuable in the real world: imagination, feelings, and allowing, receiving, and of course, the acknowledgement of our soul, are what is actually creating in the new consciousness. Actually, those attributes always have created. As we embody our divine selves, we recognize our new balanced masculine and feminine aspects as working together. We live along side a mental, goal oriented world, where the attributes of reason, logic, hard work, and competition are touted as the highest and most rewarded, but they aren’t working so well are they?
The Divine Masculine isn’t aggressive, competitive and controlling. It is fair but assertive, and is tempered by the Divine Feminine qualities of compassion, intuition, and receiving. It sets boundaries for the Divine Feminine so she can safely play and dream her dreams, and helps her to take inspired action to ground those dreams in this reality.
In the new consciousness there is no power. That is just an illusion anyway. There is no force necessary. The dominating type of forceful energy is dissipating now. It’s not having any place to work. Men are becoming more open, in terms of their emotions, and their intuition, and women are becoming more confident in terms of who they are and setting boundaries and seeing themselves and their attributes as valuable. And of course it all comes down to self-love.
