I captured this beauty just a while ago after a rain here in Tampa Bay.
And the double rainbow reminded me of the movie, The Wizard of Oz, which was based on a children’s fairy tale that was ahead of its time. It is one of those timeless and enduring stories that captured, with symbols and allegories, our spiritual journey.
it was about our inner journey to enlightenment. To finding, through a series of experiences and challenges, through facing fears and illusions, our way back home. Back to our self.
It was the emergence of the feminine energies after eons of being repressed.
It explores the belief in being unworthy and how the mind tries to convince us that fear is real.
Dorothy discovers that the tornado was actually a blessing because it pushed her beyond her human perspective and transported her into a deeper awareness, that there is more to life than the black and white existence she was living. That there is more than one singular perspective. It took her getting tossed around into the seeming chaos, meeting her own shadow side, and discovering that her fears were self-manufactured.
That with the click of her heels, she could be transported home. But home would never be the same. Now it is filled with awareness.
The rainbow became the symbol of the higher vibrations of love and transformation.
It’s a beautiful story of self-discovery, hope and joy.
It’s our story.
And I couldn’t resist…..

I LOVED this film when I was little (when it was on the TV – a new thing then – every Christmas.)
Me too, Gail. It always moves me.
I love this double rainbow, and now I must watch The Wizard of Oz again 😊❤️
Enjoy it. You will probably appreciate it even more for its wisdom now.
My thoughts exactly Maria! 💞
What a beautiful picture and what a beautiful rainbow dear friend! ❤ I listened to this song yesterday… I love it… 😍❤
Yes, that song is really timeless.
The Wizard of Oz is SO meaningful! I too love this film. Too often we think that getting back Home.To ourselves, to what we want to create, to LOVE is an arduous road..unobtainable…. Then it may just turn out that all we needed was to click our heels! And ZOOM..we are there! Such pivotal times we live in now! After all those energies hitting us… So much work… But worth it. I have set up a YouTube channel… Something I have been wanting to do for a long time now but wasn’t ready for… I would like to post a link to it.. Would that be okay with you Maria?
Yes, anneke, feel free to post it.
kismet spiral is my YouTube channel. It’s a bit of a journey as I am not great with tech! Learning all kinds of new things now though. Just put in kismet spiral and you’ll find me. Hope you’ll have a look. I am still doing work on the channel it is a bit rudimentary as yet! Having to learn to use IMovie… Phew.. Someone came round yesterday to help me with hat and they were not very good at it themselves… I shall learn. Thank you for letting me give out the info Maria! Have a lovely day.
Reminds me of Jean Houston’s book, The Wizard of Us, which speaks to exactly what Maria is speaking of here… Finding our way back home by journeying through our fears and gaining right mind, heart and courage…
