Building

Once upon a time there was a CEO of a large company. His name was Bob. The company was handed down to him by his father, and his father’s father because this company was in the family for generations. Bob took a great deal of pride in running his company. He loved so many aspects of being in charge of so many people, so many departments, and so much enterprise. He worked very hard to maintain his position because, just as his father and grandfather and great-grandfather passed on to their beneficiaries the physical business, they also passed on their ideology of working hard, being competitive, not trusting easily, and not taking anything for granted. The Old Story

Like most people I enjoy being entertained. Between Netflix and Amazon I have access to thousands of tv shows and movies. So you would think my queue would be overloaded with stuff waiting to be watched.

But, sadly, I am running dry on things that really capture my interest. Sure, there are shows and movies out there brilliantly acted with outstanding production value.

But as far as new ideas, new stories, not much there. Instead it’s the same old hackneyed stuff, just repackaged.

The Many Faces of Change

I have to admit, when I am bored and want a distraction, I will sometimes check out the news, specifically the latest on the current administration. I find it ceaselessly entertaining, like a well written soap opera. I am certainly not dismissing the serious nature of the goings on, but I am detached enough from all of it to see it much more clearly for what it is: the galactic story being played out beautifully.
