Expressing Our Soul

Art by Maria Chambers

Some people say they are not creative or expressive. But in actuality, they are expressing all the time. Perhaps not in the traditional way we know that to be, through an art form, music, writing, theatre and other forms. But being in physical is a form of expression. Our body is expressing on our behalf all the time. It expresses repressed emotions in the form of illness and imbalance. Same for our mind. And our life. Whatever we see around us in our environment, the people, the events in our personal lives, are all forms of expression, telling the story of our life. Continue reading

Passion for Life

fog-1208283_1920

For a while now I have been asking myself, do I really want to be here?  Do I want to stay and realize my embodied enlightenment?  Especially when things become really challenging physically.  That seems to be my biggest issue.

Or so I thought. Continue reading

If You Haven’t Found Your Passion, Look Again

Many people on the ascension path are concerned that they don’t have a single passion or purpose that they could sink their teeth into. They may feel bored and want to do something creative. They look around sometimes and see others deeply immersed in professions or avocations and they wonder why they themselves can’t seem to find that singular passion. In fact when they look at their life they may never have had a single driving passion.

In my own life as I reflect, I really did not have any single passion other than wanting to express through whatever medium may have been available. I enjoyed art for many years, creating drawings, paintings and sculptures. But it wasn’t an everyday passion. I majored in art in college and I obtained a master of arts degree in graduate school. But quite honestly, I never really followed it as a profession or a career. Overall I followed whatever felt interesting in the moment, even at one time opening up an art supply and custom framing store with my husband. (now ex husband, who still runs the business).  I worked at it for ten years, and it was quite successful, but even there I did not feel a driving passion for the work.  I felt then a need to move on from that business and that husband.  For quite a long time I thought I lacked something because I did not have that drive and dedication.   I thought, maybe I am not taking myself seriously enough, maybe I just don’t believe in myself enough, and all kinds of other justifications for not following unwaveringly one creative path.

It took me quite a long time but I began to realize that there was absolutely nothing wrong with any of that. Many of us came into this lifetime with a passion to awaken. And, it really does not matter what we do or not do. We do not have to build careers or avocations if we do not feel that drive. Because, we are actually already doing our passion. Of course society for the most part does not recognize that we are doing that, so we may get criticism.  We may be told we are lazy, or unambitious, or are spreading ourselves in too many directions.  That we lack focus.

I had the credentials if I wanted to teach art on a university or college level. But I really did not, after all that education, want to pursue that path. I ended up taking odd jobs here and there that had really nothing to do with my creativity. But, regardless of the relationships I found myself in, or the jobs I worked at to earn money, I always found the time and resources to be creative if the desire was strong enough.

So if any of you ever feel that perhaps you are not finding that one thing that’s going to give you that joy, and that because you can’t find that one thing, there’s something wrong with you, there isn’t. You are just where you need to be. If you feel like developing a career or teaching what you have learned about ascension, or writing or anything of that nature then of course pursue it. But if you find yourself just wanting to relax in life, and just do whatever feels good in the moment, you have already found your sweet spot, you just don’t realize it.

So many of us on the leading edge of ascension are recognizing that we are fulfilling our passion. And that passion is to love ourselves unconditionally, to invite our spirit, our soul into our bodies and our lives, and to enjoy this life. We are here to release old stuck energies, to transform ourselves from the inside out, and to share that experience as much as we enjoy sharing it, with others of like mind.

If that’s not a passion then what is?

Your New Passion

As we ascend, as we become more light body and bring spirit into our body of consciousness, our old passions begin to go.  What may have been a deep desire no longer holds our attention.

For myself, I used to identify myself as an artist and later, a musician. At one point I couldn’t imagine not singing and performing and recording music.  It was who I was!  Now I enjoy expressing through music occasionally, and through the written word, but I know it’s not who I am.

I used to have a passion to be in a relationship with a ‘significant other.’. Now, while I have some wonderful people in my life, the relationship with myself, with my soul and spirit is my passion.

As we ascend, we may not have the same goals and plans and passions as others around us.  This can leave us temporarily feeling like life is not worth living.  But then we discover that there is a growing new passion for life.  To connect to our true self, and to enjoy life through our soul.  Seeing and hearing and feeling this reality through the soul can be likened to the way a child sees and enjoys the simple things in life.. The things we begin to take for granted.

Sounds almost too simple.  Don’t we have a mission as lightworkers to save souls, to save the planet on some level?  For some lightworkers this is still appropriate.  But if you are reading this and other materials like it, you are at the stage of ascension in which those things are not important anymore.  You understand that everyone is just where they need to be.  You may enjoy working with others who are ready to be in the new energy, but you don’t allow them to feed off you because you know they too have all the tools to ascend.

Most people believe they need to justify their existence by having a ‘purpose.’  This includes those in the spiritual community.  That purpose can even take the form of drama, of having to overcome something….a financial, health, or relationship issue.  An emotional or mental issue.  But you reach a point where you are done with all that.  You come to a point where you do not need goals or plans or purpose in order to enjoy life.

Because your primary passion is to just enjoy life, you may appear selfish to others. For you don’t particularly embrace family or societal  tradition or old energy obligations in relationships.

There is a void between the letting go of old passions and embracing life anew with your soul passion.  During this time don’t be seduced by your mind trying to create artificial passions. It won’t work.  Trying to go back to the old passions simply will not work any more.  Don’t let your mind convince you that you are crazy or that you have lost your desire to be here.  This too shall pass!

Because you have chosen ascension on a soul level, you are stronger than most and have what it takes to get through the void.  You are learning not to pull in drama as a false passion.  You are learning to allow and not push.  To trust that part of yourself called your soul, to take care of the balancing of energies necessary in order to move into mastery.  Your human self is learning to work with your soul.

Together you are beginning to enjoy life on a whole new level.  And as this happens, the physical body feels it and come back into balance, as does the mind and emotions.

It’s a win-win situation!
